What You Need to Know About Intensive Outpatient Programs?
If you've been looking into Pediatric mental health services in Orange County for yourself or a loved one, you may be confused by the various services you'll come across. This piece of information about intensive outpatient programs offered for child psychologists in Orange County California will provide you with the necessary information to understand the very dynamics of this treatment.
What to Expect in an Intensive Outpatient Program?
An Intensive Outpatient Programme (IOP) is a type of substance abuse therapy in which individuals attend addiction treatment for a few hours, multiple days a week. The main difference between an IOP and an inpatient programme is that participants do not have to live at the facility full-time.
OC Teen Center, one of the leading teen psychologists in Orange County, is offering a variety of mental health services to teenagers in a way that is least disruptive to their daily lives. We interact with young adolescents ages 12 to 19 who are dealing with depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as several other mental health and developmental issues.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Services for Adolescents
As the preeminent adolescent psychiatrists in SoCal, our compassionate and professional teen mental health services provide integrated and evidence-based treatment procedures. Some of the unexcelled services are discussed below:
1) Day Program:
To help your teen as effectively as possible, our Day Program provides rigorous, daily counselling in a variety of ways. Individual treatment, family therapy, group counselling, and medication management are all part of our day program. Your child will continue their studies with the support of our certified on-site mentor. The five-day-a-week program gives your teen the structure and assistance they need to develop the skills to live a joyful and healthier lifestyle.
2) After School Program:
The After School Program duration is 3 hours daily, four days a week, and happens from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Children will get private therapy, psychiatrist supervision, and group therapy, just like in our Day Program. In this rehabilitation program, your child can continue to attend regular school before coming to the centre after school at the given afternoon time. It provides your teen with the fruitful assistance they require without interfering with their everyday routine.
3) Therapy Program:
Once the Day and After School Programs are completed, the third phase of treatment offers a flexible schedule of 1-2 days per week. Therapy programs enable your teen to keep in touch with their primary therapist and psychiatrist, who have been with them during their previous recovery sessions.
4) Neuropsychological Testing:
Neuropsychological testing is a sophisticated examination of how your teen's brain functions. We will measure cognitive abilities such as problem-solving, academic skills, memory, attention, and social-emotional functioning, among other mental abilities, during testing by our trained neuropsychologist. Any mental or cognitive issues will be analyzed and treated using our highly qualified neuropsychological tests.
5) Private Therapy:
These therapy sessions are to support teens dealing with a variety of mental health issues, as well as those who just need someone to talk to. Your child can see a licensed therapist even if they are not enrolled in one of our primary programs. Our therapists are available from Monday to Friday and we would appreciate the opportunity to support you, even if it is only for a few sessions.
6) Psychiatric Treatment:
Our team of professional & registered psychiatrists, who have many years of experience treating various behavioural and developmental disorders, are always ready to provide psychiatric services to those who need them.
